Abdul Fattah

Abdul Fattah started his career with a shore job in 1983 in Karachi, Pakistan. He obtains a shipping career of over 45 years, alongside venturing into other businesses such as Real Estate, Shipowning, Chartering, FMCG, and Crude oil Trade.
From shipping to trading to agencies, he set up a company in Dubai, primarily dealing with ship management and ship owning. The Dubai representative office (IGENSHIP Trading) sold 25 ships in a short span of three years under a joint partnership – leading to owning oil tankers, closing at 44 vessels as of date.
Obaid Fattah
(CEO)
Obaid Fattah is the CEO of Scancom Trading and Shipping Ltd established by his father Capt Abdul Fattah in 1983, as a CEO his direct responsibilities are to expand the network of an already recognized name in the shipping Industry of Pakistan, oversee operational activities, strategize and to focus on growth. He joined STS in 2019 after living 22 years abroad where he has been part of start-ups in retail and real estate.
Obaid is on the Marine Training Institute committee and a Rotary club, Karachi member. Over the past two decades, he has been part of two retail brands and set up a real estate agency in Dubai focused on a digital experience for the end users. He is an ardent believer in realistic deliverables and business that is built on relationships and joint strategies.
A big supporter of community service, Obaid since moving back started off as a volunteer for the Artificial limb center (an NGO that fits prosthetic legs and arms for free), he started the education program for children without limbs, he works closely with the citizen’s foundation (an NGO that believes in education for free).
In 2022, Obaid achieved certification in green ship recycling from Lloyds Maritime and is part of the committee working towards setting up the first green recycling yard in Gadani, Pakistan.
Capt. Rashid Anwar

With an extensive career of forty-two years, Capt. Rashid Anwar leads the manning and crewing division.
He has served in various capacities, including Ship Master, Port Captain, General Manager, Senior Lecturer (MCA approved) for Nautical studies, Safety Security and Logistics, Nautical Surveyor, Deputy Chief Nautical Surveyor, and Director ISPS (Designated authority, Pakistan). His last obligation was as a Government official of Ministry of Maritime Affairs of Pakistan.
